Selmer Mark VI (104973) Tenor Saxophone stolen!!!
« on: 21 October 2010, 02:38:48 »
Hello everybody

last night my Saxophone was stolen from my appartment in Groningen/NL.

The Saxophone is a Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone with the Serial Number 104973.
The Saxophne has a neck with no finishing

There was also a Pearl Flute PF-661 and a Charles Bay Ebonit Mouthpiece in the case.

Please send this Email to all people you know.
Thanks for helping me out.

Best Regards
Tobias Hoffmann

oder ein myspace photoalbum???

Ich denke das Seriennumber und finish-infos am wichtigsten sind. Ein Foto/Bild lasst sich manchmal ganz anders als im Realität anschauen.

Ik denk dat het deze mooie toeter is :(

Gibt's weiter seltene Besonderheiten vielleicht?? Es gibt ja so viele Amerikanisch lackierte mk vi!!!

Wish you all the best finding this horn back!

Hello Guys,

thanks for posting the picture with me and my horn.

Well there are some more details I will give you:
-the bell isn't really round anymore (there are small dents in it)
-the whole bell has no finish anymore
-in general there is maybe only 35% finish left on the horn
-the neck has no finish anymore and is darker than the rest of the horn
-and the mechanics of the horn is really worn out at some places like low Eb/C and A and G

Hope that makes it a bit easier ro recognize it

Thanks for helping me
Best Regards
Tobias

Hello everbody,

The Saxophone was found by a man from Delfzjil. It was lying beside a small street. The man took it home and checked the serial number and searched the number in google. So he found my information about the theft and my phone number. He gave me a call and I went to Delfzjil to get the instrument.

The Saxophone is in pretty good shape. Nothing is damaged or broken.
But anyway i think will bring it to a repairman to check it.

I'm really glad that everything went good and I got it back.

Best regards
Tobias
